“Don’t be everything to others and nothing to yourself”

Hello! I’m Jasmine

Licensed Therapist

I am a Psychotherapist Licensed in the state of Florida. I am the owner and founder of Alabaster Journey, LLC a private practice build with the purpose of providing accessible counseling services through a secured telehealth platform. I  support and empower individuals and families within the Black/Caribbean and Hispanic community struggling with every day life events and stressors impacting their mental, emotional as well as their physical and spiritual well-being.

The brand Alabaster Journey came alive upon realizing the importance and need for destigmatizing mental health for people of color dealing with fear, shame, criticism and judgment that comes from growing up in environments, cultures, and even religious context where seeking support outside of the norm is seen as unpopular and unfavorable.

My vision is to see every person of color thrive mentally and emotionally with the purpose of educating, supporting and empowering you through a platform that is supportive, nonjudgmental, motivating and welcoming.

For any BIPOC person wishing to engage in meaningful work, including self-exploration, discovery, and personal growth without the burden of having to suffer in silence; wishing to navigate through deep issues of grief, loss, anxiety within their caregiving role, relationship issues and every day life stressors, this is your space.  Your space for growth, discovery healing and restoration.

My Approach & Values

My approach is  empathetic, nonjudgmental and collaborative in establishing and maintaining the therapeutic relationship. I value your willingness and permission as we explore how past narratives and experiences may continue to impact and manifest in your present moment with an eclectic philosophy. I honor and value one’s ability to acknowledge that they need help and willingness to seek for support and guidance.

I am also a first generation Haitian American woman. I was privileged to have a supportive mother who understood and supported me as I sought treatment for my mental health throughout my childhood, adolescence and adult life. I am fully aware that this is not a privilege afforded to many who grew up in cultures and even environments where mental health is heavily stigmatized. I have dedicated my life to increasing mental health awareness throughout communities where the need is great. My passion is to help empower individuals throughout all walks of life to begin to prioritize their mental health and live live to their full potential.
